Making Great Places:

Celebrating 25+ Years

There is a lot of truth to the saying

“Time flies when
you’re having fun.”

We are so fortunate to have been blessed with so many motivated clients with such a diverse mix of needs.  Our first client was the Town of Pittsford, a community with whom we enjoyed partnering on a quarter century of successful collaborations—from helping preserve local farms and natural resources to revitalizing the town and village waterfront on the Erie Canal.

Our team has completed projects all across New York State and in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.  Our practice has expanded to include a wide range of services.  We have appreciated the collaboration with our consulting partners over these years — some of the most talented professionals in the field including the following.

client wisdom

Over the years we have treasured the friendships we have developed with our clients and consulting partners — and we have appreciated all of the wisdom they have imparted on our team.  In fact, we often share a bit of that wisdom with others.  See some select favorites below.

“Let’s do our planning first, then the projects can follow.”

— Bill Carpenter

Former Supervisor, Town of Pittsford

“In revitalizing the waterfront area, there are two questions regarding future development. The first question is, what does future market demand look like?  The second, and more important question is, what needs to be done to create a great waterfront so that a fair share of that market is captured?”

— Tom Martin

Principal, ConsultEcon, Inc

“We’ve listened to the people and we had a good planning committee and we have a good plan.  You can’t do a good design by committee.”

— Ed Lettre

Former Public Works Administrator, Town of Clarkstown
